Hi, thanks for downloading Combined_Arms.

I'm Combine_Kegan, and the original idea of this mod was the brainchild of several folks, including
some clever anons from 4chan's /vr/ doom threads. As stated in the mod's descripton
in various places where you probably downloaded this; the idea of Combined Arms
was to ask people "What weapons from Doom's arsenal would you replace?" They'd tell me
their vision, and then I proceeded to try and make it a reality, what you see here is the
end result.

Admittedly at this point those old ideas have been buried since the big 2.0 update, though
some of the old ideas linger on, I've just polished them so damn much that it's unrecognizable
from it once was.

This (formerly little, now pretty big) project has been a lot of fun to make, so here's
hoping you enjoy playing this mod by yourself or with a few buddies.

I recommend trying this out with some custom monster packs, like DRLA monsters, for a
little extra fun and challenge, seeing as these weapons pack a wallop. I would recommend
Project Babel's monsters, Iron snail, or Rampancy!

Or you could pair it with Malefactors, that works too.

During the development of the v2.0 upate, I lost a good friend of mine, and
the Doom community as a whole lost a good man. His name was Roy Rosengard, or
Slax as most knew him. He used to push me to do better at art, and he was
always eager to see what I had to show him whenever we spoke, so I want to
dedicate the new default set in his name. Rest well, Slax. You silly
son of a binch.

I'm also dedicating the Past Linked set in loving memory of my grandparents,
I spent some of my happiest childhood years with them, and Zelda 1 was
a game I often played over there, that game has always been a pretty big
part of my childhood, and my grandparents knew that, my grandma made me a
Link costume for Halloween when I was like 4, and my grandpa made me a wooden
sword and shield of my own. I put everything I got into that set, and I hope
you enjoy it.

Special Thanks:

Thanks again Skelegant for your constant help for this update, including the keys pickups, and the hands for the Tech Monk
I also want to thank Slax for helping me design the Tech Monk's Kame Bomb, along with just helping me out in general with art stuff, I owe a lot to you man.

Batandy helped by taking a few of my hands for the Blackjack's drawing animation and making them properly doomguy-gloved

Thank you HyperUltra64 for not only cleaning up a few of the hands on the Blackjack's drawing animation, but also providing the sick as hell art for the title screen.

Thank you a1337spy for making voxels out of the Somaria blocks! As well as playtesting and giving me valuable input to polish stuff up.

Thanks Sledge for also playtesting, your input also helped further shape things up to what they are now.

Thank you Crozi for polishing up the pump frame on the Defiance machine gun

Yholl deserves a special thanks as well for constantly giving me advice and some great ideas during development, there's a lot of crap I wouldn't have figured out without his help.
